Using the Question Bank

Speed up your survey creation by using pre-built questions or saving your own team favorites.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Question Bank is a library of questions designed to help you build surveys faster and more consistently. It provides instant access to common best-practice questions and allows your team to save their own custom questions for reuse.

The Question Bank contains two types of questions:

  • Standard questions: A collection of ready-to-use questions created by Iterate, covering common use cases like demographics, product feedback, etc.

  • Custom saved questions: Questions you or your team have created and saved to your company's personal library.

How to Add a Question from the Bank

  1. Open the survey editor for any survey.

  2. At the bottom of the question list (when adding a new question), click the Browse question bank button.

  3. A window will appear with two tabs:

    1. Standard questions: Browse pre-built questions organized by category.

    2. Custom saved questions: View questions previously saved by your team.

  4. Click on any question card to instantly add it to your survey.

How to Save a Custom Question

If you have a specific question setup that you use frequently (e.g., a specific "How did you hear about us?" configuration), you can save it to your team's bank for easy access in future surveys.

  1. In the survey editor, locate the question you want to save.

  2. Hover over it, then Click the "..." icon on the right side of the Edit button.

  3. Select Save question from the dropdown menu.

  4. You will see a confirmation message, and the question will now be available in the "Custom saved questions" tab of the Question Bank for anyone on your team to use.

Note: Saving a question to the bank saves its current configuration, including the prompt, description, and all answer options.
